There are many blogs comparing Elementor to Visual Composer, but few mention page builder performance and none run actual speed tests. Because page speed is essential for online stores, our comparison focuses only on the page load time with the page builders.

The data below is from our yearly WooCommerce page builder speed test. We’ve created the test so that everyone can make an informed decision when choosing a page builder. To see all the page builders tested, the methodology, and full results, read the Fastest WooCommerce page builder.

The 2021 test was done in March.

Which page builder should you choose?

Visual Composer is the one to go for if you’re looking for speed as it’s about 15% faster than Elementor. That said, it was still only 6th (out of 8) on our speed test and Elementor was last. To learn which page builders were faster, see our page builder speed test.
