There was a ton of work done in the last month, besides the large staging update. It’s obvious Niteans came from vacations energized and ready to work. πŸ™‚

Significantly Improved UI

We upgraded the underlying framework, Google’s MaterialUI, that brings many benefits. We fixed a bunch of bugs and did some polishing of the interface. Another major improvement is the page speed of the Errors tab, especially when there’s a lot of them.

Improved Store States

The process of setting the domain has many steps and we haven’t shown all of them which made it confusing. Now, all steps are shown in the state box, making it very clear on where the process is and if there is any action required.

  • Setting domain
  • Health check
  • Nameserver check (required action of changing nameservers at the registrar)
  • Certificate check (for HTTPS)
  • Online

HTTPS not recognized in some plugins

Users reported some plugins did not recognize HTTPS on WooCart. This is now fixed and the plugins tested recognize the store is on a secure connection.

Account Page

We created a simple account page where you have access to your subscription. You can manage the payment method, or cancel the account if you so wish.

Localization for the US

Per popular request, we added the localization configuration for the United States. Keep in mind taxes are not automatically added but they can be with a few commands inside WP-CLI. See the help article. Datacenter in the Americas coming soon!

Help with editing Themes and Plugins

Editing themes and plugins directly on the file system is a very dangerous action. We’ve written a help article on how you should approach this to make sure you don’t break the store while keeping it future-proof for updates.
